Dauntsey’s has announced another impressive line-up of speakers for the 2017/18 programme of its renowned Mercers’ Lecture series. The Mercers’ Lectures are named in recognition of the links between Dauntsey’s and the Mercers’ Company, which go back to Mercer founder Alderman William Dauntsey, Master of the Worshipful Company of Mercers, who founded the School in West Lavington in 1542.
Top grades have been awarded to Year 11 girls at St Augustine’s Priory, Ealing Catholic independent day school for girls, in their GCSE results this year with 82% of results being A* – B or equivalent (9 – 6).
Brentwood School students collected their GCSE results today and for many it was a clean sweep of A* grades. No fewer than 17 students received ten or more A*s, (up from 10 last year) and 33 students received all A*s or As, bucking the national trend for top grades.
